At the forefront of sustainable shaving is MÜHLE, who, in 2021, introduced the first safety razor designed with the needs of all users in mind, without regard to gender. This journey traces back to 1945.

Founding in 1945: Following his return from war, Otto Johannes Müller established the business, creating the first shaving brushes and designing the iconic MÜHLE signet.

New Generation in 1965: Taking over the company, Hans-Jürgen Müller expanded the workforce to 40 employees and began exporting MÜHLE products to 36 countries.

Expropriation in 1972: Under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, Hans-Jürgen Müller was coerced to sell the company, turning MÜHLE into a state-owned enterprise.

Taking Leave in 1987: The business was rebranded and began manufacturing brushes solely for the state, leading Hans-Jürgen Müller to become an independent brush maker.

New Beginning in 1990: As Europe underwent a transformation, Hans-Jürgen Müller reclaimed the family business under the name Hans-Jürgen Müller KG, while retaining the MÜHLE signet.

Celebrating 50 Years in 1995: Following the reunification, MÜHLE faced challenges, but gradually won back customers and rehired former employees.

Boom in 2006: With the dawn of the new millennium, MÜHLE expanded its offerings to include a complete range of wet shaving products, establishing the MÜHLE brand in the industry.
